Olga Bobrowska

Poland

Festival director and co-founder of the StopTrik International Film Festival (Maribor, Slovenia / Lodz, Poland). She frequently serves as a juror at various festivals (e.g. Cinanima, Espinho, Portugal; Tricky Women/Tricky Realities International Animation Film Festival, Vienna, Austria; Animafest Zagreb World Festival of Animated Film, Zagreb, Croatia; Animateka International Film Festival, Ljubljana, Slovenia; and other festivals in Europe, USA and China), and has also served as a member of selection committees (Krakow Film Festival; Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival, Krakow, Poland). She has participated in nearly 20 international academic conferences, authored 10 academic papers published in monographs and journals and over 30 film critiques, and is also a permanent contributor to Zippy Frames, an online magazine dedicated to international art-house animation. She is a co-editor of two collective monograph books, Obsession, Perversion, Rebellion. Twisted Dreams of Central European Animation (2016), and Propaganda, Ideology, Animation. Twisted Dreams of History (2019). 

Marta Monteiro

Portugal

Degree in Fine Arts / Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. She was a teacher for 4 years and currently works as an illustrator and director. Illustrated is best known on display in Portugal, Spain, Italy, China in the USA. He works for several national and international publications, including the New York Times, The New Yorker and Adufe magazine. He collaborated with publishers such as Pato Lógico, Bruáa and Caminho; which resulted in the books “Ana de Castro Osório. The woman who voted for literature” (2015), “Um dia de louis” (2016) and “Amores de Família” (2015). He directed two animated short films, “Independência de Espírito” (2011) and “A Sonolenta” (2017). And she works on her third short “Sopa Fria”, which is scheduled to be released in 2022. In 2014 she was distinguished for the illustrated series “Little People” by the Nova Society of Illustrators. She won the Vasco Granja Award, supported by the Portuguese Society of Authors, for Best Film in the Portuguese Monstra 2018 competition with the film “A Sonolenta”.

Camila Kater

Brazil

Camila Kater is an animator, screenwriter and director from São Paulo, Brazil. He directed, scripted and animated the animated documentary CARNE (2019), a Brazil-Spain co-production. CARNE, available on The New York Times Op-Docs platform, was selected in more than 250 festivals such as Locarno International Festival, TIFF, Annecy, IDFA and received more than 90 national and international awards, being qualified for the Oscar® 2021 and selected on the Goya Awards shortlist. Kater produced in stop-motion productions, animation scriptwriter, art director and puppet in shorts such as "The Apple Trial" (2013), "Flerte" (2015); Indescribable (in production) and as art and animation assistant in the feature film “Bob Cuspe, we don't like people” (2021 - Contrechamp Prize in Annecy) by Coala Filmes. Kater holds a BA in Social Communication with a qualification in Medialogy from Unicamp, annex in Film and Television Production at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge (Recently, she received the Erasmus Mundus program for the program: ANIMA Animation which takes place on a master's scholarship in Cambridge) in three host countries: Belgium, Portugal and Finland. In February and December 2022, Kater is artist-in-residence at the Tricky Women Tricky Realities in the MuseumsQuartier festival in Vienna, Austria. Kater is co-founder/co-director of the independent LESMA (La Extraordinária Semana de Mostras Animadas) festival that has completed 4 editions at Unicamp.

Marcelo Marão

Brazil

Marcelo Marão is a brazilian director and producer of animation films. Having graduated from the Escola de Belas Artes, UFRJ, Marão directed 10 short films (Eu Queria Ser um Monstro, Engolervilha, O Anão Que Virou Gigante and others). He participated in over two hundred animated productions for advertising, TV and cinema.
He was the founding President of ABCA (the Brazilian Organization for Animated Films), which he is still a part of, as member of the Council of Directors. Marcelo Marão was a professor in the post-graduate course of animation at PUC; coordinator of the International Animation Day and he is the managing partner of the production agency Marão Desenhos Animados.

Bryan Dimas

USA

Co-Founder & Co-Director, LatinX in Animation. Bryan Dimas is an Animation Producer with experience in feature animation production, 2D and CG animation television development and production, and project management. He has contributed to various projects that include “Trolls World Tour”, “The Boss Baby 2?, “3Below: Tales of Arcadia”, “Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia”, and “Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh.” He has worked for animation studios that include DreamWorks Animation and Warner Bros. Animation. He grew up in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Notre Dame where he studied Electrical Engineering and Film, Television, and Theatre with a concentration in Film Production. He is particularly interested in the development and production of animation, and promoting diversity and inclusivity in Animation and STEM fields.

He is currently the Associate Producer, Development at Warner Bros. Animation.

Virginia Mori

Italy

Illustrator and animator, studied animation and design at the State Art Institute in Urbino. During this time she nurtured and honed her distinctive artistic imagination. Her favourite media are pencil, ink, and ballpoint pen on paper. In 2008 she won the “SRG idee suisse” prize at the “Annecy call for project” during the International Festival of Animation at Annecy, France. This enabled her to produce her first short film, “il gioco del silenzio” (“The Play of Silence”), which has won nominations and accolades at international events, launching her career as an illustrator and director of animated shorts. At the same time she has worked freelance for a number of clients and galleries like Withstand (Milan), for whom she created the illustrations for the video “Walt Grace’s submarine test, January 1967” by John Mayer, directed by Virgilio Villoresi and the animated book “Vento”, Blu Gallery (Bologna), Fendi (Rome), Valentino (Milan), Galleria Disastro (Milan) and 25Films (Paris), Club Sensible Gallery (Paris), Pelledoca editore, Penguin Random House (Spain), Edizioni EL, Vogue Arts, Gucci, Feltrinelli editore, Bollati e Boringhieri, Mini, Sammontana, Film Tv magazine, Libreria di Frusaglia, il Venerdì di Repubblica, Popshot magazine.

Markus Dorninger

Austria

Artist and designer focused on interactive light projections as an experiential and transformational medium. His work comprises interventions in public space, as well as stage performances and art installations. 

After initially embarking on a game design career, he began to explore alternative forms of interactive creativity. In 2005 he teamed up with brother Josef Dorninger and friend Matthias Fritz, searching for ways to tell visual stories live on the theatre stage. The result was Tagtool, a visual live instrument which facilitates new forms of public art and education, and has since spawned an active worldwide user community. 

In 2007, the trio founded the arts production company OMAi, short for Office for Media and Arts International. Ever since, OMAi collaborates with partners from different fields of expertise, seeking to create experiences that transcend conventional ways of experiencing, understanding and learning.

Bruno Caetano

Portugal

Self-taught animator and builder, he later graduates from Lisbon’s Faculty of Fine Arts Multimedia Investigation and Studies Centre (CIEAM) with a specialisation in Stop Motion technique.
Despite having a strong preference for this technique, his professional career led him to participate in several projects with various animation techniques as well as in other areas of artistic interest.
Has worked as an animator, producer and director in productions from various production companies, and is a founding member of COLA (Audiovisual Collective), an ever growing group of united artists, focused in producing, teaching and divulging animation in Portugal.

Guilherme Bonini

Brazil

Professional film director, screenwriter and producer. His academic background is a master's degree in cinematographic narrative / image and sound from the Federal University of São Carlos – UFSCAR. 

He works between cinema, video art and photography. As a result of these cultural projects in creating and producing independent projects, he created Bonini Filmes in 2011. Always with the objective of telling stories, its mission is to provoke sensations through image, seeking aesthetic and narrative innovation, in addition to the pleasure of experimentation. 

With intense production since 2012, he had several works presented in Brazil and Europe.

Andreas Noe

Germany

Biologist and environmentalist. Known as "The Trash Traveler", has decided to quit his job and dedicate himself 100% to environmental awareness.

He chose as his life mission to help the planet become a less polluted and more sustainable place.  In a 58-day trip along the coast, he picked up 1.6 tons of plastic in Portugal. He is the creative voice of the documentary “The Plastic Hike”, a project focused on the circular economy, which aims to take the fight against plastic.

Ana Umbelino

Portugal

Ana Umbelino has a degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Lisbon and completed her Master's in Educational Sciences (specialization area Adult Training), at the same faculty. He attended the PhD in History of Education at the University of Lisbon. Completes the courses on History of Art in Portugal, History of Art I and II taught by the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes. He is currently attending a degree in History at Universidade Aberta. She was a professor at the Instituto Superior de Línguas Aplicadas (ISLA) in the postgraduate course in Clinical and Health Psychology. She participated, as a speaker, in international conferences in the area of ??intervention with families and family therapy and published an article in the international journal Journal of Family Psychotherapy. She joined the staff of the Western Regional Development Agency, where she dedicated herself to projects in the area of ??adult education and training, until being requested by the Torres Vedras City Council. She was, at the invitation of the Ministry of Education, co-author of the Guide for the operationalization of key competences, secondary level. He is vice-president of the Municipality of Torres Vedras, responsible for Culture, Social Development, Cultural Heritage and Participation and Citizenship. He is vice-president of the Association for the Development of Tourism and Heritage of Linhas de Torres. He is part of the Interministerial Commission for the implementation and monitoring of the National Reading Plan, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Local Authorities. He was a member of the Consultative Group for the Integration of Gypsy Communities (CONCIG), in Portugal, on behalf of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities and on the Interministerial Commission for the implementation and monitoring of the National Reading Plan, on behalf of local authorities. He is chairman of the board of directors of the European Network of Cities and Regions for the Social Economy (REVES). He is a member of the GECES (Group of Specialists in Social Economy and Social Enterprises) of the European Commission. In this context, she was Rapporteur of the Clusters group for social and ecological innovation. It belongs to the advisory board of the UNESCO Chair “Management of arts and culture, cities and creativity”, attributed to the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. He is a member of the strategic council of Rede Cultura 2027 and is part of the working group responsible for preparing Leiria's candidacy for European Capital of Culture.
